I was asked in another thread about how I added red light and speed cam files to the SD card in the Fujitsu Ten navigation unit in my 2013 OB Limited. The iGO software in the OB is a 'lite' version that is missing a few features of the full iGO Primo consumer product, but the actual functionality for red light camera and speedcam warnings is there, only the data files are missing. I downloaded some data files from the web and wrote them to my SD card (gulp!), and they work like a champ. **WARNING** I wouldn't have even tried this without first backing up my map files with the Naviextras utility and then following the instructions below for making a bit-perfect image of the SD card for safekeeping. I have no doubt that this would void any warranty on the SD card, so caveat emptor. What I did was adapt some instructions given by a poster named Ballad from a couple of Australian Subaru forums. Speedcams installation manual for iGO. Copy the extracted speedcams.txt file to the directory Content Speedcam Restart iGO 8 and. You can download the latest. By releasing iGO Navigation, we no longer provide support to the. Why is there no speedcam. IPhone/iPad” menu and select iGO Navigation to download it to. His main 'how to' post can be found at the following link: His instructions are for a slightly different model of the Fujitsu Ten HU, so there was some info in his post that doesn't apply to the 2013-2014 USA nav unit. Here is my slightly edited version showing what I did: ================================================== Speed/Red Light Cameras and other alerts Do this at your own risk. 1) Safely eject SD card from unit with car power OFF or - Audio>Down arrow (above phone icon)>Info>SD Eject> Resident evil 3 pc full rip cd. Yes (now eject card) 2) BACKUP SD CARD TO YOUR COMPUTER. DO NOT MISS THIS STEP* 3) Download your region from Primo Camera files for Subaru/Toyota after registration. 4) Uncompress download. 5) You should now have a folder called 'speedcam'. 6) Rename your speedcam folder on your SD card to 'speedcam_OLD' (navigation/content/speedcam) and copy the one you downloaded to this content folder.!!!!!!My edit: SKIP STEP 7!!!!! 8) Safely eject SD card from computer. 9) Put SD card back in car. When turned on it will take a little longer than usual on start up (about 30s). 10) To enable. Go to Map>Menu>More>Settings>Sounds and Warnings> (scroll down) Alert point settings (tick box) and enable alert types. *Why make an image copy of your SD card and not just a copy? ![]() Original functionality may be obtained by copying your image file back if you have problems with the instructions (unlikely). Claims under warranty should not be contested if you have an unrelated hardware or software issue because evidence that changes have been made to the SD will be removed. Deleted files are easily traced otherwise. Having the ability to get your SD card back to original working state is helpful even if you haven't made changes. Unfortunately HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool is only for PC. Instructions: ================================================== I ended up determining that Ballad's step #7 was not required for the 2013-2014 USA model.
It dealt with editing the existing sys.txt configuration file to add new lines that turn on these alerts. That isn't necessary on the 2013-2014 USA model, since it already has menu options in the UI for turning alerts on/off. I can't remember if they were turned on by default or not -- I think they were -- but you might want to go into Map >> Menu >> More >> Settings >> Sounds and Warnings >> Warning Sign Alerts and check to see (page. 166 of the 2013 Navigation Owner's Manual). I think I turned 'audio and visual' guidance on for every type of alert possible, not being sure which was for the red light and speed cams. So far in my neck of the woods it hasn't done anything but announce red light cameras. A side note: As far as I could tell, the USA model won't even recognize any of custom config lines placed into the sys.txt file. For instance, I tried everything to make the config lines pertaining to speed limit display feature work, but nothing I did would entice my HU to display the actual speed limit** or speed limit alerts. However, my lack of success turning on speed limit display may have just been because that data is missing from the Navteq naviextras map payload. Perhaps other sys.txt entries would be recognized. As mentioned in step #3, you'll need the data files. The blob 1958 free download. There are other sources of free and paid red light cam and speedcam data files around the web, but I just downloaded the free USA zip file for his step #3 above from another Ballad post in different forum:. I unziped the files and put them in the navigation/content/speedcam folder (I can't remember, I may have had to create that folder), and that was it.
